Full Day Group Tour — Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary
Activity Overview
Discover our full-day ethical elephant sanctuary program near Chiang Mai – No Riding. This group tour is designed for a minimum of 2 people and offers an immersive elephant experience in Thailand: feed, observe, and walk alongside rescued elephants through lush jungle, enjoy a home-cooked local lunch, and return to your Chiang Mai hotel by 17:30.

Hotel Pick-up & Drive to the Park
- Pick-up from your Chiang Mai hotel or guesthouse (locations outside the middle ring road may incur an additional charge).
- Approximately 1-hour drive north to Elephant Rescue Park.

Arrival & Uniforms
- Arrive at the park and change into the beautiful uniforms provided by us.

Introduction to Our Elephants
- An introductory discussion about the park's elephants — their history, personalities, and conservation.

Prepare Food for the Elephants
- Cut and prepare food for the elephants — sugarcane, grass, and fruit treats.

Make Herbal Medicine for the Elephants
- Learn to make herbal medicine balls that support the elephants' digestive health — a unique hands-on activity.

Meet, Feed & Observe the Elephants
- Meet our elephants, feed them the food you've prepared, and observe them in their natural environment.
- Interact with them respectfully — learning about their behaviour, habits, and daily routines from your guide.

Home-Cooked Lunch
- Enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch prepared especially for you at our park.

Walk with the Elephants
- Walk with the elephants through beautiful scenery with plenty of wonderful photo opportunities along the way.

Elephant Bathing
- Walk down the hillside to the elephant bathing area.
- Enjoy bathing and brushing the elephants in their very own pool.

Farewell & Freshen Up
- Say farewell to your new elephant and mahout friends after a memorable experience.
- Take a shower, change your clothes, and enjoy a refreshment set — fresh coconut juice with snacks.

Return to Chiang Mai
- Return back to your accommodation between 17:00 and 17:30.

Please Note
- Complimentary pick-up and drop-off for accommodations within Chiang Mai's middle ring road. Locations outside this zone are subject to an additional transfer charge.
- Guests travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus or car.
- All activities are not mandatory — join in as much or as little as you like.
- No riding at any point. This is an observation-only, ethical experience.
Deposit, Cancellation & No Show Policy
All bookings to our park are accepted only on the basis of our terms and conditions. You, all members of your party, and Elephant Rescue Park are bound by them.
Deposit required: A deposit is required during the booking process in order for us to confirm your booking.
For bookings of 1–3 people, the deposit fee is ฿1,000 (total).
For 4 or more people, the deposit is ฿2,000 (total).
Balance payment: The balance for your tour is payable at the park in cash in ฿ (Thai Baht). Payment by credit card is NOT accepted.
Cancellations have both an operational and financial impact on Elephant Rescue Park. As a result, the following booking conditions apply to ALL bookings:
- Cancellation from the date of booking up until 2 days before your tour commences will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the deposit paid.
- Cancellation within 2 days prior to your tour commencing, or a No Show on the day, will incur a cancellation charge of 100% of the deposit paid.
We recommend all visitors have travel insurance in place to cover cancellation charges in the event of sickness or accident.
